Our Curriculum

The CRS curriculum is informed and inspired by the educational philosophies of Rudolf Steiner-Waldorf education and Reggio Emilia tools for learning.

In the CRS W-holistic Pedagogy of Child Development - each child is looked at as an individual and will find different learning opportunities through different paths. At any given moment, the child’s emotions, physical needs, and creative openness will contribute to their development and learning,

A W-holistic teacher/caregiver will give children opportunities to engage in innovative learning experiences and open-ended play while building warm relationships and recognizing the importance of the child’s spiritual and cultural development. Through this approach, the caregiver can focus on the unique aspects of the child.

Our Learning Environment

Did you know that the classroom environment is one of the most important factors that affect student learning? CRS provides a new 21st Century therapeutic classroom design for early childhood education. The design creates a feeling of calm and comfort that supports the child while giving them the freedom and confidence to trust and learn. This program attribute is an integral part of our educational philosophy and mission to guide and nurture the development of the whole child.

Nutrition and Meal Plans

Our meal plans promote healthy eating habits in our children. We provide delicious and nutritious foods that support the physical, emotional and intellectual development of the child. We offer a meat/poultry free food menu and snack plan that follows the CACFP nutrition standards and dietary guidelines for childcare programs. We are also opened to serving families with vegan and/or vegetarian alternative needs.

We practice family style - breakfast, snacks, and lunch to encourage children in preparing, serving, and sharing foods.
